Sorry for posting this again, but it got lost with the glitch. Just wanted more opinions!

On a standard cab mini truck are you pretty much SOL when it comes to storage space if you have a full bed cage? I've seen the storage boxes behind the cab, any other creative ways of storage? What do you do when you got 2 people in the truck and both your bags for prerunning the 1000??

Ok, posting this again....its not gonna be as long as before.

I made a "bed" out of perforated sheet metal and its 48"x29" When I was building my rear cage I wanted to retain as much storage space as possible even though my truck is an extra cab. I can fit two 35" spares back there and still have a ton of space (2nd spare isnt pictured, but it fits up next to that diagonal crossbar) And with the 2nd spare in there is still space on the bed below it.

You can build custom alum. storage boxes to fit around the cage. These can be made lockable and are a good use of those funcky shaped spaces left over after the cage is in.

If the bed cage isn't too exotic, buy one of the plastic slip-in bed liners and cut it to fit into the bed. McMaster can supply sheet stock to make the fender wells larger if needed.
Harbor Freight is currently selling a plastic welding kit for about $125. Those liners are usually ABS which 'welds' pretty easily.

As a bonus this will keep rocks off the rears from killing your rear window or the amber.

Sounds interesting! Any pictures of this "bed liner" idea?
