ive got an '00 Mustang GT that i think i may have a head gasket issue.

i noticed a puddle of water under the car the other day (not a/c)..and then the coolant light came on later...i also noticed a little water on top of the intake manifold. (engines starting to sound a little rougher too)

so about how much are we talking to fix that? (if that is what is the problem)

It might be the plastic intake manifold. Ford has revised them to help eliminate repeat failures. the coolant can leak into the spark plug holes and cause it to miss.

thanks, i hope thats it...fords estimate, if it was the head gasket so on & so on...is $1600. which means the worst case scenario is well over $2k.:(

looks like shes goin' back in the garage for a while...
