Let's see. I've been off-roading for about 20 years. We started with a Toyota pickup, then moved to Jeeps. Started a couple of Jeep clubs, worked with Cal4Wheel South District to stop land closures, started the sport known as "rock racing" on our ranch (California Rock Crawlers Association), and it gradually morphed into King of the Hammers.
I got into desert racing when my husband, Jeff Knoll, started following Pfleuger around Baja. He has always been into it, but I have only been following it for about 4-5 years. We started a Jeepspeed team in 2007 which Jeff left to pursue his promoting business more. We run the new 4400 cars in the BITD series and Jeff's King of the Hammers event and qualifiers. I don't do the racing, I'm just the #1 fan :) and help out as needed with Hammerking Productions.
I'm a middle school teacher during the day and a facebook and off-road and boating forum junky by night.
