What do you care, Gabe? You can't weigh 160 wet! Or have you been eating a lot since it's gonna be a cold winter?

I would guess that since he races a 2/1600 based off his profile he is wanting someone light so it doesnt slow the car down to much, and also doesnt make the fit much tighter then it already is. My question is "Co-Drive" does that mean you the person who posted this drives one day, and the person who pays $500 drivers the other day, or do you mean Co-Ride?

I'm guessing co-ride and for the above stated reasons. $500 for your kid to co-ride in a race would make a nice X-Mas present.

160 or lower yes because it is a 1600 car and we race to win. its a co-ride no driving and for a kid over 15 and a half its the chance of a life time no doubt

I'm 200 lbs, Rich tells me I'm too fat... plus I won't pay $500 for a co-ride spot.

500 bucks is a little steep for a 16 and considering the mileage involved. also isnt snores entry about 500 bucks?

November 24th, 2009, 12:38
If Rob Mac is entered, you guys are really racing for 2nd place.

then 500 is a rip off.

You`re nuts.the entry is one of the smallest cost.owning the car and keeping it running are one of the larger cost.imho $500.00 is cheap.

500 for the truggy yes would be a deal, ive raced in a 1600 and 500 for short race with cheap entry idk.... id pay 500 for a lap at parker in a 16, maybe lap and a half... idk maybe ive become jaded since the championship lol :D 500 is steep though. plus im a bit out of the weight range. lol

bajafox
November 24th, 2009, 14:07
It all depends, $500 for someone who has never ridden is a deal, $500 for someone who has ridden in a top 16 car at BAP for free is alot... The price is right for somebody out there

I agree, it will sell. When I first started with a 5/16 I paid $300 for Laughlin, $500 for the 500, $500 for Primm and paid for the rally tracker for the 1000.

It sure was back when I had money and was single! I've had free rides since then so it's kind of hard for me to spend money for the right seat...

People that think 500 bucks for a rite seat is to much are high, no mater what race it is a bargin. Laughlin if the driver is a front runner the ride will be one you will not soon forget as that race is 110% from start to finish

I call BS if you have to charge for someone to ride navigator your in something over your head. Besides only family and friends that help prep the car should be in that seat. HA-HA

I should probably elaborate on what I said. I won't pay $500 for any buggy seat when I can get in a truck for the same or less. That's just me, I'm not saying that he is a rip off or over priced. Doesn't matter, as I am working the event for Snore. I might get in a truck on Sunday but that's only if Snore has enough volunteers to get everything done. Didn't mean to start anything... I was just giving Mac a ribbing.

I absolutely agree! I would jump in a 1600 before a truck any day! It is completely wide-open from start to finish.. talk about ride of your life....;)

True on the car ownership costs... But a race so short you shouldn't even have to prep for it... Borderline steep. IMHO.

Bill
November 25th, 2009, 03:37
sometimes the cost of racing is spread out over the year.so like I said I really don`t think that is a bad price to get to ride during a race.

I'd do it! I'd even fly out for the race from Texas!. My folks live in Havasu so I could call it a family visit ;) I just need to loose about 20lbs :(

hahhaah 160. Good luck on them being able to throw a tire around.

Those tires are not heavy. Try throwing around our 37" at 122 lbs each. 160 would never be able to do that. I still do not think it is a bad deal for someone that has never been in a car but they are not going to be able to stop on the 2nd lap in a race like this without losing!!!

BRINGTHERUCKUS
November 25th, 2009, 08:41
16 tires light! i carry multiple tires to chase trucks and stuff but TT tires are another story.... them bastards you have to do work.

$500 a day is cheap.... I had a co driver back out the other day and am selling his seat for the same price in the class 7 heat. Not trying to thread hijack, but rather agreeing that the price is cheap in the entire scope of race costs.
