yeah sadly, that sucks!!
i mean there should be no school, neither today nor tomorrow; in national holidays there are no classes, and maybe this is not a national holiday but it is a regional one, it is the principal source of income for the city in the whole year!!!!!! but whatever, i wont be attending to school tomorrow. I would never miss the baja 1000

I never missed a contingency/race while I was living in ensenada, neither for school or work.
But now that I have to maintain a family living outside of ENS, crap...
So were are the photos??????

I just got off the phone with my 77 year old great uncle who boated down to mexico on a big trip with other boats. Long story short the steering broke on it and he had to turn around to come back, steering with the engine's. So he stayed in Ensenada today and went to lunch, started talking to a man about racing how we used to race and yada, yada, yada. Turn's out him and Ivan Stewart had lunch together and talked for about an hour about racing and the old days of mexico. My uncle really never paid much attention to off-road racing unless we did good, so when he called me and told me that he had, had lunch with the ironman i was stoked. This is no B.S

one thing that sucks about contingency these days is that all the big hitters pay a bit extra and savage goes to the hotel and checks their truck, that totally sucks:mad:

I really can't blame them with the parking and security hassles.

first of all, parking??? you dont Park in contingency you just wait in line in the midle of the street until its your turn for inspection, second of all yes i know sometimes police give you a hard time but its simple, dont burn rubber, dont ignore stop signs, dont ignore speed limits, all the stuff that you cant do in the states you cant do in mexico period. if you follow the rules you dont get in trouble, just like any other person down here

Yes you do Park! Unless your team is racing some kind of Mini Van class we don't know about. 2 people in the truck and the rest that want to go thru with the car show up and have to park.

Just leave your vehicle's at the hotel with the rest of the race stuff, get a cab and PAY HIM GOOD! Then tell him when your done with tech that you'll meet him at the same place. That's what we've done the past few years and it works great! The cabbie's are awesome down there! :)
