hey everyone
my buddy is selling a older econoline with a 302 and c4 that i could get for real cheap. not sure on how miles are on it but ive drove it before and shifts smooth and runs fine with no visual or probelms i feel when driving. my question is is the carb 302 and c4 worth the effort putting in my ranger or find another 302? does a econoline differ from any other 302's?

thanks for the help

That 302 is just fine, its not a roller motor but thats not a big deal.

I think it was to do with cams and what not....but a 302 is really good sure its a c4? if possible a c6 would be better.

Ford started equipping the 302 with the roller style cam in 1985.

yes parts are available, you can make good power out of a 302. itll be perfect for a ranger.

I am pretty sure the intake won't work. Unless you plan on cutting you hood. You'll need the explorer intake to clear the hood.
