They are a production 2 seater buggy that has been modified to a single seat Dakar racer. They have a 3 cylinder Yami snowmobile motor with a CVT trans. I'm thinking they are a little heavy in race form hence the lack of good results.

I dont know if its these guys or some other Dakar racers. But I was told that a former European Dakar Bike winner (Dont remember the name) has purchased a dozen or so Predator X18 buggy's. I guess the thought was they were going to be used for some sort of Adventure Tour company? But that the owner is so impressed with the first one he received that he has considered to possibly attempt to race a few of them in the Dakar Rally.

I found this interesting and was thinking that they might be a good little car for that. I dont know what class they would fit into as they do run an Ecotec engine and not a motorcycle engine like these Mcrae buggy's do.
