Stock?
In stock form a Ranger 400 will beat a Rhino 700 in a drag race...I have done it. A Ranger 800 will smoke a Rhino...more power, more suspension, more seating (3 vs 2) will haul more etc. And resale value is better.

Do you want to sit like your in a farm truck. Buy the Ranger. The Rhino feels more like a Trophy Truck. You sit down in it in bucket seats. It is like Chevy & Ford. You like what you like.

If you really want to sit like a Trophy Truck and have 65 mph top speed stock get a RZR S. :)

The '07 Ranger is totally different than the new Ranger XP. The new Ranger has A-Arm front suspension, tilt steering, different seats, different styling...AND a 800 twin engine. You are right the old Rangers were not as fun as the new ones. :) Go to Callaway MS in Riverside (University Ave), I'll bet they will let you test one out back.
(no I don't work for them)

Both have thier positives and negatives. The Polaris still has a bit of the "farm vheicle" mentality but is a lot more performance driven this year. Rhino is a great handling and comfortable vehicle, I loved my rhino in stock form. I am not a huge fan of the 700 motor and these days single cylinders in a UTV are so 2006.........lol.........

...or you can get a 'slightly' modified nine passenger Crew for your 'farm vehicle.' :)

I agree, if nimble and sporty is priority.

yup, that is where the heavy Ranger shows its limits.
rhino is still a great all purpose UTV, so is the Kawi Teryx though, more room, v-twin EFI, but def needs a new cage, stock one is very weak.
if you want pure utility, the ranger is hard to beat though.

I didn't know the published manufactures weights...so I looked them up on each of their websites.
Terex 1395 lbs
Ranger Xp 1237
Rhino 700 1199
So there you go!
