helmet??

My current one is about 4 yrs old but up todate for tech specs. I have a good deal on a new carbon fiber helmet and wondering if it's worth it to buy a new one now or wait for everything to change over to a newer spec?? The helmet iis a 09 model.

Id say just wait it out. But thats just me.

You'll get 5 years out of it assuming its an SA2005, which is a long time in the dirt.

The new sa2010 spec will be available in October, but that dooes not mean all the manugacturers will be shipping helmets then, so it could be longer depending on brand. I think the new helmet may have a smaller maximum eyeport opening size which may be an issue for some off road guys that are used to really large eyeports.

If it's 1/2 price and you'll get 5 years instead of 10, so your're even.
