I am looking for specific information as to the type of car jack that will be stong enough to lift about 3000lbs. We are tired of lugging around the lead weight High Lift jack. We tired 1 car jack but it started to bind and bend as we lifted the car. Anybody know a specific year or model or place to find a high lift jack that most of the 1 and 10 car guys are running?

It is a GM factory jack from the early 80's

we use a smaller version of the hi-lift jack. They stopped making them a few years ago. Call McKenize's they might have a few left

Hi

We manufacture a hydraulic hi lift jack similair to the ones used at Dakar.
We use them in South Africa and have had a lot of success with them.
If you are interested, PM me.

Cheers

There was a really cool jack design that I saw at the Pahrump BITD race last year. It was a super lightweight jack and the guy was going around contigency showing it off. I think he even managed to get the FST trick truck up into the air. A simple twist and it locked - you stroked it vertically (get your head out of the gutter) and with not too much effort the darn thing lifted one car after another. Then you just give it a light twist and it slowly collapsed back down. If my memory serves me correctly it looked really similar to the RadFlo Hydra Jack, or vice versa.

I thought it was Dan Hunt at the BITD race with that jack. It was pretty awesome.
