I recently bought a trailer and the batteries (interstate) will not hold a charge. I noticed that the date has not been
punched out on top of the batteries. Does anyone know where/if I can return them?

Start at Interstate's page and work backwards to a local vendor.

There is a interstate battery center in Montclair just off of Central a little south of Foothill. They own Optima now and they warrantied my Optima battery. They go off a date code stamped into the battery case for warranty. I didn't even have a reciept and they took care of it free and said I had full warranty that started over again new on the new battery.

The date code is stamped in the case by the pos. post. The letter is the month, A=Jan, B=Feb, etc. And the number is the year,8=1998, 9=1999, 0=2000, 1=2001, etc. The battery should have a 12 or 18 month free replacement and then pro rated for each month of use once it is out of the replacement period for the remainder of the warranty. I would sell you a new battery but I'm sure you don't want to travel to Salt Lake City to get it.
You can call 1-800-CRANK-IT to find a Dealer in your aera.

The one in montclair also has used optimas for $35. The post office has a contract with them, and if they leave the lights on over night they just put in a new one in. Bottom line $35 for a great battery!
