Its part of the software. I think you start with 4. If one person gives you a 1 then you are brought down to a 1. If tons of people give you 3 and 4's your average will go up. I think its lame personally. Never made any sense but it came with the software so we left it. The moderators have no control whatsoever over stars, we cannot add or take away stars even to our own profiles. We can run a program to see who gave us what though.

It's basicaly a popularity contest shall not to be taken all that serious.

0 stars = no one knows you
5 stars = people brownnose you a bit too much

..so anything in between would be ok-ish

We are not racing it. Richard Bolye and Ron Brant are. hopefully they will have better luck then they did in SF. I did pre-runn the first half last weekend with them and thought it was a good/fun course.
