Well, I cut exactly 1 coil out of each of my springs and installed the new arms, brake lines and tie rods. The front end feels a little too plush but I'll have to see how it works out after I add the dual shocks and drop the back end back down. The front end completely fills my 5" over glass. To follow are a few pic's of how it turned out. More to follow after the engine cage work goes in. - Josh

Chris, thanks for the updates. I went and saw Jim Witzel this week and got some ideas on how to set up my truck when I link the rear. What's the estimated time before yours if moving again, cause I know they are never really done. - Josh

Hey Guys
I have been working on mine also. I put a 8.5 in Bilstein and fox air bumps and limit straps. Eventually I want to run a 2.5 King when I get some money. But this is a big improvement over the Rancho shocks, and the limit straps should save my upper balljoints.

Hey Josh, you're right, the project is never really done.. At the beggining, I just wanted to cut my coils and that's it!! Then one thing led to another, you know the drill, "while this piece is apart, I might as well do this, and modify that" next thing I know, my truck is on jack stands for 4 months.. So from this point on, I am working on it every chancr I can, should be done in 2 weeks.. I'll post some more pics.. Bye the way, how do you like the way your truck rides now??

What's up Matt?? Wow big improvement.. you have been busy.. Now I really need to get moving.. So tell me, how does your truck ride now with the air bumps & straps?? I was thinking about bumps, but didn't want to modify my upper control arm again..

I got the air bumps mounted finally. what a difference. It still is soft enough to float over the little stuff, and doesnt bottom hard on the big stuff. I shortend them to 3" so they dont hit the arm at ride height.
Now i need to get some 2.5 x 8 inch kings and I'll be set. I should have never wasted my money on the Bilstein 5150 shocks, they are way too soft for a 7000lb truck.
