  1. Wow that's awful. Hey look at the bright side, you are saving gas and money! It does suck down grading from a truck to a sedan. I sometimes jump in my brothers stock ranger and forget i can't hit the dips just as if i was in my truck. So every so often i hit them a bit to hard lol

I to have been building the truck in my head also! Everything from drawings on scratch paper to making little adjustments every weekend trying to find out what i can do. Its a very long process no doubt.
  2. I will, im just waiting for some money that hasnt happened yet. (Arent we all???) I totaled my truck about 2 yrs ago and have lived without one and been reduced to my passenger car ever since. I am miserable. I used to get to barge thru the dirt and now i worry about curb rash.

I have been building this truck in my head for 2 years and started over 1000 times. i should start on this by late winter or early spring....
  3. Hahahaha! They make great parts and are also RDC people so you wouldn't go wrong with such a great company. I hope everything turns out great on you your project and hope to hear from it. Let me know of any other questions Dan.
  4. I think you may have just got camburg a 4000 dollar sale.... step two is converting to the newer fiberglass.
  5. Anything above 99 is good on a silverado. They have way more options when it comes to Long travel and wheels.
  6. so of that body style you recommend the 99? do they have the same hub size issue?
  7. Thanks for the compliments! My truck is a 97 and i love the whole box style of this year. A few downsides is long travel kits for this year. Many Companies make LT kits for 99 and over so it would have to be completely custom off a Fabricator. Also the Bolt pattern is 5 on 5 which most off-road wheels aren't made in. I happened to find 5 KMC Bead locks that came off a jeep and bought them at this years Curt LeDuc Swap meet for $920. Other than that i have had no issues with my truck. Also there are only a few out there to its something different
  8. It looks solid. I am looking to build a crew cab chevy and am shopping for a newer year but when I see your truck i think about how much more money i could spend on parts because the truck itself would be way less expensive than a newer one. ANy complaints about that year truck??? Looks nice...
  9. I do not sir. I was thinking about it but eh lol
  10. Hey, you got a build thread for yer silverado?
