Its all good. I agree that off road on the main stage is nothing but a red headed step child and I cannot understand why. Dave himself is not really an off roader but he was for a long time racing in AMA. I think maybe flat track but I cannot be sure about that.
I stand corrected,I always watch wind tunnel and as long as that show has been on ive only ever heard him talk offroad a few times.I dont dought Daves knowledge of motorsports one bit.I was not aware he had comentated offroad years ago,he is however a motorsports journalist/comentator/talkshow host/reporter/writer/and im sure many other things. I have never seen him speak as an expert about offroad .It frustrates me when offroad has to take a backseat to nascar and numerous other forms of racing that arnt really that exciting to watch.There is so much desert and SC racing going on all the time that never makes it on speed news,its just wrong.If Dave is a offroader I feel bad for dissen him, I will take your word for it.
You would be wrong. Who do you think is commentating on this ESPN Broadcast of this mid-90s SCORE Primm Race. Back then just like it is now, it is Despains job to know much about everything in motorsports stretching back for nearly 30 years. His knowledge and commentary on the subject speaks for itself. Just nowadays most does not get talked about on his shows due to all these kooks blowing NASCAR Balls.
