  2. Sticky: Commercial posting

Commercial posts. Our old rules clearly state that we don't allow commercial posting on rdc unless you are granted to its designated area (Industry News) so this posting is kind of redundant right now but as a courtesy to our violators we are breaking it down one more time. A commercial post by our definition is a posting on our site that offers a 'for pay service' or goods or an...

  1. Light Size Question

I have 4 of the chepie euro beam HIDX lights on the front bumper of my 4 runner. 2 of them are 4" and 2 of them are 7" lights, all euro beams. I have the smaller 4" lights closer to the head lights and aimed a bit out to the sides. I have the 7's mounted in the middle and amied towards the middle and can not for the life of me get them to do much good, I've tried aiming them about a dozen times...

  4. self resetting switch?

Any of you wiring gurus know how to rig up an idiot light or some other function to a momentary switch that will turn the light off and then reset itself so that if the load is removed and then re-applied then the idiot light will come back on again? Used to have number of functions like this in aircraft I flew...a light would come on and I would push the light to make it go out. Then when the...

  6. Deutsch or Weather-pack connectors ?

My car is going to get wired this week and I am wondering which route to go with for my accessory connectors; Deutsch or weather-pack. 95% of the wiring guys I talk to choose the Deutsch connectors. My concern is if I have to switch or repair something out in the desert a weather-pack connectors is a lot easier to find parts for in regards to parts and tools. The tool for the deutsch connector is...

  10. A question about the Elite 5m

Maybe somebody from PCI knows the answer but I searched the manual and all the menus on my new Elite 5m gps and couldn't find an option to display range rings like I had on my older Lowrance. Did they do away with this feature? If so, bummer. Another feature I liked was the ability to split the screen into two maps. Seems like that functionality is lost too. :(

  13. Noise Cancelling (ANR) Helmets

In the aviation world, Active Noise Reduction (ANR) headsets are common. Significant reductions in perceived "noise" and improved communications clarity make ANR headsets very desireable in prop driven airplanes (most units are designed to attenuate those frequencies best). I wear a helmet modified with ANR in an aerobatic airplane that is louder than any race car I've ever experienced; the ANR...

Hello all! I've installed an aftermarket Autometer sportcomp tach In my '93 Ford Ranger race truck and am having a bit of trouble. 20. New go pro hero2 vs OG???

Can someone brake down, in simple english, why an off-road racer would want the hero2 instead of the original? I believe the new ones can record with higher fps, but that isn't super crucial to us. And regarding the wifi capabilities, you just plug the wifi backpack in and you could load the videos to your computer or iphone in the motorhome via wifi?
