DRIVE Off-Road Racing Series
Well.....in my humble opinion it's time to start talking up the Sept 17th DRIVE race. The WCT Townsel Memorial race will be great return for DRIVE since there April race that drew big crowds. A 4 month break has been tough.....let's get racing in Plaster City!!!!! So......who's in? Are you racing or volunteering?
OK, I'm bored and want to race again......., allready... The car is apart, tranny in Monrovia, Engine needs work, parts need to be magged, replaced...but Seriously, is it September Yet.....Anyone?
God bless all those that have paid the ultimate price to defend our country and our freedoms. Do something this Memorial Day that pays tribute to the military men and women who are no longer with us and express gratitude to those that choose to serve our country and ideals today. -Brian & Amy

Desert Scrub Down II & Start order draw for The April 17th RDC 250 April 3, 2010 Schedule & Information DRIVE Off Road Racing held 2 clean-ups in 2009 with District 38 and filled a 40 yard dumpster in 3 hours each time. Both clean-ups were in Plaster City West and East. We want to clean up the Superstition Mountain area in 2010 so we are holding the second annual Desert Scrub Down. ...
After talking to a lot of racers we decided to drop the total race miles for the April 17th race from 400 to 250. The general consensus was that the cost to run 400 miles was going to be too high. We also reduced the entry fees for this race to $160 for Sportsman and $300 for Pro. Sportsman Bonus – 1st place $200, 2nd place $100, 3rd place $50 Pro Payback - $150 per starter - split – 1st...
This is Going to Go Over Like a Fart in Church but… I really don’t care. What is it going to take to get the entire off road community to get together as one group and start doing what we need to do to keep our OHV lands open. At this point we are fighting for what we have when we should be fighting for more areas to be opened. We as a group are facing land closures every day but we can’t...
Amy and I were not at the SF 250, but what an awesome weekend!!! http://www.race-dezert.com/forum/attachment.php?attachmentid=86728 The El Centro Naval Air Station featured the Blue Angles and a TON of other air planes and helicopters at their annual Air Show this weekend. In addition to the amazing display of Naval military technology and fire power there was a group of off road racers...
DRIVE is adding a new class to the series. The new class will be for purpose built open desert racing "rock cawlers". Same as ULTRA 4 in BITD. To make it easier on evryone DRIVE will use the same numbering system as BITD for this class. Vehicle numbers will range between 4400 and 4499. DRIVE will be developing the class rules over the next few week but they will be consistent with other...
I know this is not race related, but just wanted to wish a smooth transition and safe return to the 1st Marine Expeditionary Force that deployed to the Hemland (sp?) province in Afghanistan. 800 Marines from Camp Pendleton left Wednesday and they will be deployed there for a year. Thank you to all the Service men and women that commit so much to ensure the safety and freedoms that we enjoy...

Info: After each race we used the Super Duty and drug a 5in diameter metal bar with 3trophy truck tires attached to it with chains around the course. We started doing this after the first race (TL 200) to reduce our impact on Plaster City. Question: During the 2009 season how many total miles of course did we drag. Hint: We did not drag every mile of every course. Closet guess without...

We have been having contests on Facebook for the last month or so. We post a question and give everyone about a week to take a guess at the answer. The winner gets a DRIVE long sleve shirt. We wanted to include the RDC community so we are posting this weeks question on Facebook and RDC. Q: How much did the dumpster from the Oct 31, 2009 Halloween Haul Out / Plaster City West Clean-up weigh? ...
Merry Christmas everyone! We can't wait for the New Year (and season) but are very thankful for everyone that has made this first season some much fun! Please take a moment to think about all the men and women that are away from their families because they are defending our freedoms, overseas far from the comforts that we all will enjoy with our families tonight. As we take stock of...

I know Caleb Sanden raced the September race in a new car, and I am pretty sure it was a Romo car and I also think there were pics of it in this forum, but I can't find them, which photographers were out there or where are those pics? I checked trackside, but Art was in a car I think, so no pictures.
So the ORW Grand Prix is done. What an awesome race. It was long, it was hot, and the racing was killer! The DRIVE Volunteer Army rallied for this race in a BIG way and I think it really showed. Many of the racers came up to me after the race and said, "We saw volunteers in red shirts EVERWHERE!". Everyone on the DRIVE Team earned a place in history books for keeping watch over the course...
