So Doug or anyone at DRIVE have any idea what the dates might be next season? I understand that with the previous set backs this year it has been difficult to obtain permits, but hopefully DRIVE will have a solid season full of races \m/
Did you sell off your equipment to run races? I sure miss a full season in Plaster City.

Congratulations to all the Volunteers that committed the time and energy to make the SNORE 250 a reality. I wasn’t there, but it is so awesome reading all the comments about you guys regarding the race. Everyone that loves off road racing wishes they could race. Not many people wish they could Volunteer. Volunteering is open to anyone, yet only a very select group of people choose to take the...

You are two incredible people and you will be AWESOME parents :-) ...
Merry Christmas.....yes, Christmas to all the DRIVE racers, volunteers and officials. This past year has been the best of times and the worst. Let's all hope 2011 is better.
Amy and I just wanted to say happy Thanksgiving. We are very thankful for all of the wonderful new friendships and incredible adventures that we've been blessed with through the past two years of DRIVE. I hope that this day finds all of the DRIVE family happy, healthy, and in the good company of loved ones. Thank you to the many people in the DRIVE family that will be busy on this day...
I just wanted to thank each of you guys/gals for getting on board with the Dec 4th race. Unfortunately, there are just not enough racers planning on coming out to enjoy the desert with us, so the ORW Grand Prix had to be canceled. I feel horrible saying this and I hope that committing to this race did not effect any alternate plans that anyone of the Volunteer Team might have had. If that...
I just wanted to say thank you to all the Veterans (as well as current active duty) that have given so much to ensure the freedoms and safety that we enjoy in the United States. You guys and gals are the reason Amy & I have the luxury to live our lives the way we do. Thank you for your sacrifice. -Brian & Amy
DRIVE/ORW Grand Prix: December 4th It’s seems like the Fiberwerx/WCT memorial was only yesterday, and already we’re gearing up for another awesome weekend out in luxurious Plaster City. The ORW Grand Prix is literally just around the corner and with the incredible job that the Volunteer Team did at the Fiberwerx race, the bar has been set pretty darn high for any future races in that...

We are a week out from the WCT Memorial race and I just wanted to say thank you to everyone on the Drive Volunteer Team that continues to step up and commit themselves to making each DRIVE event SAFE, PROFESSIONAL, and above all FUN :) I'll be posting the Team Roster when I get home tonight. There were a lot of Team Members that traded in their traditional positions for Rovering to help...
Well.....in my humble opinion it's time to start talking up the Sept 17th DRIVE race. The WCT Townsel Memorial race will be great return for DRIVE since there April race that drew big crowds. A 4 month break has been tough.....let's get racing in Plaster City!!!!! So......who's in? Are you racing or volunteering?
Will Drive be able to pick up the permit for the Dash?
Hey guys/gals :) We are getting close to rally time for the DRIVE/Fiberwerx night race! It's going to be another all night rodeo and I hope that everyone on the Volunteer Team will be able to come out and experience this one. If you were at the night race last season, you know... It's a ton of fun, and being a part of a night race generally leaves you with some incredible stories. Amy and...
I know that the night race accident already has multiple threads in the Desert Racing section, but I just wanted to have something here in the DRIVE forum. Please take a moment to pray for everyone involved. Our desert racing community is something very special and each and every one of us are extended family members in our passion for this sport we share. My heart breaks for the family of...

God bless all those that have paid the ultimate price to defend our country and our freedoms. Do something this Memorial Day that pays tribute to the military men and women who are no longer with us and express gratitude to those that choose to serve our country and ideals today. -Brian & Amy

As many of you know, our beloved Plaster City (the birthplace of DRIVE Off Road Racing) shares its' little heavenly slice of the Imperial Valley desert with the infamous El Centro Prison  Klaus, Curtis, and Doug have been burning the midnight oil in negotiations with the El Centro Prison to do something really special for the RDC 250.... Desert Scrub Down II & Start order draw for The April 17th RDC 250 April 3, 2010 Schedule & Information DRIVE Off Road Racing held 2 clean-ups in 2009 with District 38 and filled a 40 yard dumpster in 3 hours each time. Both clean-ups were in Plaster City West and East. We want to clean up the Superstition Mountain area in 2010 so we are holding the second annual Desert Scrub Down. ...
After talking to a lot of racers we decided to drop the total race miles for the April 17th race from 400 to 250. The general consensus was that the cost to run 400 miles was going to be too high. We also reduced the entry fees for this race to $160 for Sportsman and $300 for Pro. Sportsman Bonus – 1st place $200, 2nd place $100, 3rd place $50 Pro Payback - $150 per starter - split – 1st...
This is Going to Go Over Like a Fart in Church but… I really don’t care. What is it going to take to get the entire off road community to get together as one group and start doing what we need to do to keep our OHV lands open. At this point we are fighting for what we have when we should be fighting for more areas to be opened. We as a group are facing land closures every day but we can’t...
Amy and I were not at the SF 250, but what an awesome weekend!!! The El Centro Naval Air Station featured the Blue Angles and a TON of other air planes and helicopters at their annual Air Show this weekend. In addition to the amazing display of Naval military technology and fire power there was a group of off road racers that took time out of their busy schedules to say “thank you” and...
DRIVE is adding a new class to the series. The new class will be for purpose built open desert racing "rock cawlers". Same as ULTRA 4 in BITD. To make it easier on evryone DRIVE will use the same numbering system as BITD for this class. Vehicle numbers will range between 4400 and 4499. DRIVE will be developing the class rules over the next few week but they will be consistent with other...
I know this is not race related, but just wanted to wish a smooth transition and safe return to the 1st Marine Expeditionary Force that deployed to the Hemland (sp?) province in Afghanistan. 800 Marines from Camp Pendleton left Wednesday and they will be deployed there for a year. Thank you to all the Service men and women that commit so much to ensure the safety and freedoms that we enjoy...
