Chris, Soory to bug you but i saw a thread regarding F.O.A. shocks and your name got dropped. I have read most of the reviews regarding F.O.A. shocks and after much ribbing from my race team buddy's (KING only guys) I have decided to go with F.O.A. here is my question, I have a mid 80's 5 unlimited and it used to run GISE air shocks I have 4" over arms I believe I need 12" coilovers but was wondering what the valving should be. It is strictly a pre-runner for mild to moderate fun in Baja. Any help is appretiated. DAVE

    Hi Chris,
I did a post about coil shocks, I'm new to the coil world and curious how you figure out what size you need, is it about wieght? I'm still on the drawing board, I'm building a race willys pickup to run in the northwest offroad racing circut. it is a all tube frame so my opitons are wide open, I'm going to use trail arms like the desert racers in the rear and ladder bar fronts like a bronco. so should I go with 2.0? 2.5? or 3.0? thanks Dan

    Hi Chris,
My name is Jeff Bowland and I am the owner of Arizona Offroad Fabrications in Bullhead City,Az. We are currently building 2 new Class 12 cars and a Class 1 for customers. We are the only king dealer in northern Az and our customers sometimes get "sticker shock" when we price KING shocks to them and I would like to be able to offer them a more economic alternative for their buggies and prerunners. We run primarily SNORE events as do most of our customers and with FOA being local to that series it may help your sales and exposure. I am interested in either talking to you on the phone or meeting you in person if you have the time as I am only 90min from Las Vegas. Your product may actually help both of our respective businesses. There are no outlets for FOA in Az that I know of and maybe we could become a dealer or atleast an Az representative for your shocks. When we are not racing we run pit support for AJ at Baja Shop and Rob Reinertsen's Castrol Pro-truck team and have over 65 years of combined off road racing experience.
