Hey, I just read the message you left me on my homepage. Sorry i've been away for a while from this site.
Yes, Steve Kovach races a Ranger as well, he ended up not finishing the race because of the rear end completely failing, so they had to retire within a hundred miles of the finish I believe, they are good friends.
You're right I raced on a team (RAW Racing) that raced the Baja500 last year, we ended up finishing the race (20 hour time limit) with 16 seconds left, our official finishing time was 19hr 59min 44sec!!!!! It was insane, but we finished. This year we won't be doing the 500, but we are going to do the 1000mile Las Vegas to Reno race, just to change things up a bit, and we will be using the same quad we used for the 500.
Thanks for writing me and I really enjoyed posting for the 1000 last year, will surely be doing the same and following Kovach for the 250, 500, and 1000 this year as well.

Good luck to you and your build, see you out in the dirt!!!!
      James

I am 44, a native Texan, and have always loved all types of racing it has always been a dream of mine to get into off-road. I seems to combine all of the elements of speed, adventure, adversity and perseverance-elements that are lacking in many other forms of motorsports.
