If it was designed as a parallelogram, would it have a constant rate? It seems it would be desirable to have a rising rate throughout the travel, so the more body roll you have, the more anti-sway you would get. Your thoughts?

NZ conditions are very different from those in the states. The tight and light Tatum should perform well in the upper pack in NZ. It's been so long since I've driven a rear engined car I'm sure I'll battle with it for a while.
You sold on the Jimco 2000 yet?

You're right about the parallelogram, however the Tatum doesn't conform to a paralellogram. Will be interesting to map it out, however Rich isn't a silly man, it'll be rising. We designed my Jimco antisway levers to be 90 degrees close to full bump, that way it rises.
It does work very well but I suspect it could work better. In a corner most of your suspension movement isn't in bump, it's inside wheel droop. As such I think (surmise) that if you raised the lever rate so that it was maximum about 1/3 into bump (where your suspension would lie if it was loaded in a corner) it would be at it's maximum rate when you needed it.
Funnily enough, even though I haven't discussed this with Rich, it looks to be exactly where he's placed the Kiwi Tatum levers.

With the rotary as long as you keep the revs up youll be fine though the twisty stuff.
It will go hard at the top end its just the chugging stuff that will let you down I guess.

Tatum signoff completed. I seriously couldn't be more happy with the car. The design is well suited to NZ conditions with high power and very low weight. Very clever and simple in structure. The arms, bulkhead, shock hangers are a work of art. Every single Tig weld is stunning. I could only wish to be able to strike a Tig weld with such expert precision. From here she's shipped back to NZ for wiring, plumbing and painting.... and racing.

However, until then, it's in my shop and getting much love and care. It's exchanging good karma with my rotary racing projects. Seeing it im person from a pile of tubing was an interesting opportunity. As well as exchanging design thoughts and ideas with Rich Ronco. Well thought out construction.

It's so close to completion. It's tempting to finish her in the US and just run her in a US event or seven. Wiring, plumbing, bit of dash work. On the other hand, not keen on a half hearted effort, she'll need a tonne of testing prior to racing. Hopefully she'll get some mild testing in NZ.
