If you didn't catch it on the news today, Dale Jr.'s car went up in flames while practicing for the American LeMans race he was going to do with Boris Said. While practicing, he spun out and hit a wall. The wreck itself didn't look too bad, but while sitting in the car after it stopped the fuel burst into flame. From the early reports, it may have looked worse then it could have turned out. He will be hospitalized over night, but may be released tomorrow. It sounds like second degree burns possible to his face and other areas.

I saw the crash happen when it was first aired, it was nuts, it looked like he was unconcious at first and was gonna burn in the car, but luckly he got out. Funny how they had fuel cell issues before the day before and then a bigger issue on race day. Best of luck to DJ
Martin Truex will be qualifying Jr's car for the race in Louden and will be his relief driver for Sunday's race. He has to start the race to earn championship points but will be relieved as soon as possible.
