New law that may be good for off-roaders ??

New Calif law that sounds good but you never know.

"Inyo County, using a pilot program, has been granted authority to explore options for
developing a greater network of linked Off-Highway Vehicle trails; they will be allowed
to designate combined use highways on unincorporated county roads for up to 10 miles,
subject to CHP approval. This program will remain in effect until January 1, 2017.
    (AB 628, Conway)"

Let's hope they can pull this off. many years ago, when the USFS started the OHV Volunteer Program on the Berdoo, they made many comments about doing the same to create connectivity there. In about a years time, all they had were excuses about why they wouldn't create a network that they originally said would connect Cleghorn to PiTown for green sticker vehicles with access to Arrowhead and Fawnskin included. One of the excuses was an inability to use or cross state hiways and some roads. Hopefully Inyo and get the USFS to cooperate up there. That would be fantastic.

It would be great if it did work out.
I can see the normal handful doing stupid stuff on the roads and ruining it for all the others though.

Doesn't California City already have something similar that goes between the town and the offroad riding area.

Something like this could make life easier (not to mention more enjoyable) in the Panamint/Ballarat area also.
