    Rock Crawler R/C Car

Anyone have one? My son wants one for his birthday next month and I'm looking for suggestions. Don't need the top of the line but also don't want a POS. Advice?

In rock crawling, just like the rest of RC, going with the best you can afford will save you money and headaches in the long run. For a general basher I would look at an Axial Wraith. They are not cheap, but you generally get a lot of bang for the buck. They will crawl, but he can drive it other places. I bought my daughter one for christmas. She likes it.

That's the one I'm thinking of getting. A friend had one out camping over NYE and it was a Wraith. Like you said, it does the rock crawling thing well but also can haul a little butt too. Thanks for the info too. Here's the side view...

i have the Axial AX10 Scorpion and i have had alot of fun with it for 3 years. It is a really good rock crawler and gets amazing when upgraded. i have a titanium strearing servo on it and a speed control and some aluminium parts because I was going to competitions but it is great right out of the box. heres a link http://www.axialracing.com/ftp/ax10rtr/
