From what I have gleaned behind the rearend is really common and doesn't seem to be that big of a deal. . .never having driven a race truck before I can't comment on what a difference it makes or doesn't make in handling, but when I build my '79 F-150 I'm going to put the fuel cell behind the cab because it just seems to make more sense from a better balanced vehicle and a truck that will handle the same from beginning to end regardless of what the fuel level in the tank is. . .

i havent worked on it in a while. then 2 weeks ago i decide it would be a great idea to apart the bed cage and redo it a different way. And that turned out to be a big mistake. As so as i toke the top bars out the back cage went out of square by about 1-2 inch.

Hey Travis, your truck is looking good. Are you going to mount a cooler in the bed and other items? Spare parts, tools, gas can, camping stuff, etc. If you put a cooler in the bed you will want mount it as close to the cab as possible. Your beer will have less chance of exploding there. Try to get everything together you want to mount in the bed and see where it will all fit and then make mounts for it all. Good luck and I'll keep watching, Mark
