thats exactly right. now hoaker you should be about this problem, you drive around in the back. everyone talks about the the sport growing but its not! they fuaght and complained about how much it cost so they put spec v8s and they still are complaining about the budgets. stop complaining and race the stock class!!! cmon guy its professional racing. more sponsors equals more competitive cars by the numbers you think you guys are going to get sponsors if the camera wont put there bilboard on tv. even if the back of the pack guys are on tv 2 minutes out of the 35 minutes, therefore they can goto sponsors and say, i can put you on tv for 6 to 8 races for 20 to 30 seconds. say you can get 5k from someone for that amount of time. it may not make them win but could help them move up a little more to maybe get an aditional sponsor to help them win.
. corey is a good driver but there was also more to the rant. 2 min out of the episode to most likely atract more sponsor money for multiple drivers. sounds good to me.
corey sorry i wasnt at the races and just heard just a tid bit about the weekend. the tv shows more

Re: Texas torc
I think that the only guy who thinks media coverage is fair is the guy that gets the most! I've lived that battle for 8 seasons of racing - trying to get media and trying to get sponsors. After plenty of theories, I think the best thing to do is to be open to media when they come around and worry about what you are there to do - win races. If you win races, everything else will sort itself out.
The best thing that I have ever seen to build a class and help people develop professional sponsored teams is what TORC and Traxxas have done - make it so the guys off the podium aren't loosing their ass. They cut the entry fee in half and built the purse to pay down to 10th. If you get 10th in only one race during the weekend, you almost cover your entry fees for the whole weekend. That keeps lesser funded teams coming back long enough to get a foothold.

All i can say is bring it. i have several podiums in pro-light, i was 4th in points my first season in pro-light and running 4th in points last year before i crashed out of the season. Also, don't forget i earned the 2008 World Championship in Pro-2 finishing right in front of Renezeder and Taylor, the next day i lead most of the points race then finished 2nd in the Borg Warner Cup Race so unlike the many keyboard jockeys on this site i actually race and know what it takes to win. Also, unlike many pro racers out there that wouldn't think of commenting on this site i'm here and stand up for what i believe in and i'm not afraid to tell someone to shove it; especially someone that isn't man enough to put their full name in their profile...
Good day,

To Super Ranger and Inspector Gadget. The best way to guarantee media coverage is to create your own. The people producing the TV show do not owe "you" anything no matter how big a part of the show you think you are.
