i just watched an interview with jps and he basically said that there lacks the adventure aspect in so. america. he said it's more like rally racing on roads for the most part. basically he says that now the race is for wusses if my take is correct. he likes the idea of the potential of being totally lost and on your own with no one around. he's an adventurer of the highest order and he damn sure isn't afraid.

Like RG every year but this one.. S America has been a disadvantage for the 2WD. 4WD will stomp 2WD on WRC type stages. Now that its becoming more of a desert race, its equalizing. Also, the ECO race is the rally that formed once this ASO led Dakar come over here isn't it? For all intensive purposes, the ECO IS the "dakar"... we just have an offshoot running to the south of us. Only with OG promoters.

I don't think Robby ever cheated in NASCAR... He contested a win in Nationwide on the track in Montreal (I think) and stayed on track after he was black flagged and did the burnout and all like he won after he got spun under caution and returned the favor. NASCAR parked him for the Cup race in Pocono the next day. And he also threw out a piece or roll bar padding to get a debris caution and it was caught on camera and he got penalized a few laps then made to look like a fool on camera after the race with the video, but MANY other racers have done that too!!! He also had front noses on the car after the swap to Dodge that had the wrong part number (because that was what was supplied to him, not cause he was trying to get an advantage) and he was docked points and fined, but on appeal points were restored but fine was increased.

In my opinion these were on track incidents and a mistake by a supplier, I would not at all call it cheating like Knaus or Evernham have done in NASCAR!!!

Give me a break Tobin.. cheating is cheating.. regardless of who does it, how they do it, or why they do it. That's like saying "Just the tip" isn't intercourse... There was also the issue of the rear end's being flexed, or something of that nature.

Regarding Nasser, I think a little bit of what we read, or hear, it's coming off more insensitive than it should, due to "lost in translation".
