'99 Ranger Bedsides. . .how much flare for stock width?

I got tagged on the passenger side just behind the rear tire today on the way to work (it was snowing/slushy/icy and the guy in the Honda Pilot was driving too fast and following too close and when I turned he ran right into the rearend of my truck). . .

. . .so I'm thinking of going with some bedsides since they'll be cheaper than the bodywork required to repair the damage/replace the stock bedside, but I don't know wide of a flare I could go with for a stock width Ranger rearend and it not look stupid.

I'm thinking either the Fiberwerx Ford Ranger New TT bedsides (5" flare), Fiberwerx Ford Ranger TT bedsides (4" or 6" flare), or the Fiberwerx Ford Ranger bedsides (4" or 6" flare).

No body or suspensioin lift (just cranked the torsion bars to level the front with the rear) and I've got 31x10.5x15 BF Goodrich Mud Terrain k/M2's.

    Thanks for the help!

We have a new total ranger package for rangers. The rears are only flared 3.5". Look in this section, for "trakart ranger raptor" and you can see the pictures.

I have 33 x 12.5 on a stock width rear end. The tires more than fill out my FiberwerX 4 flared bedsides. You might get a few looks with the 31 tires but I think it could be pulled off ok.

Thanks for the pic's. . .I don't have a body lift which is why I've got 31's. . .I had Discount Tire test fit 33's and they fit, but they rubbed the front anti-sway bar at full lock so 31's for now. . .

. . .anyway to fit 33's without a body lift and/or removing the front anti-sway bar?

Baja619 those bedsides look really good on your truck!

Which bedsides are they, the Ford Ranger TT bedsides or the standard Ranger bedsides? They both come in 4" versions.

Thanks again for the pic's. . .it's great to see what the bedsides look like on a stock width truck before I actually commit to them.

I prefer to take off the front sway bar. It works wonders for freeing up the front end and making it smoother over terrain.

How does that affect the on-road handling. . .besides the obvious. . .I'm talking about how does it affect the handling from a seat of the pants feel. I know what a anti-sway bar does, but I'm wondering how much of a difference you can feel.

    Thanks!
