Best spots to watch KOTH with kids.

I am trying to find a nice safe place to watch The King Of The Hammers race with my son. He is six and will be getting his first shot at a sport I love. What is the first spot the cars hit rocks to climb? Some speed and then climbing. Any help with this would be helpful. A mile marker please.
