An expirement would be cool, but I have always went all the way around. Just removing the sharp edge.

The pads have a break-in coating. The noise will go away after 100 miles. I have them om my 2500HD. Good pads!

Might be that the front caliper brackets are not rigid enough. What thickness material was used to mount the calipers? We used to get bad squealing from the front brakes. Eventually cut the caliper brackets off and replaced with thicker material and no longer have that issue.

None of that bs worked on my bronco Chris. I bedded, rebedded, chamfered, sanded, angled, and everything else I could think of and it always ended up squealing.

I was told the shims will get spit out as well so I didnt bother with those. I called willwood and got a much milder pad...quiet now and not much difference. No more ear pearcing stops and scaring cars next to me at traffic stops. In the dirt it brakes hard enough to skid...on the street it is still a slow stopper but its a heavy pig and thats more to do with the lack of big front brakes.

As for the other comment on caliper bracket rigidity...my bracket is 3/8 chromoly and square within less than 0.1 degree verified on a CMM.
