At the bottom of the page linked there is a list of tires. Do you have to use one of the tires on that list to be eligible?

The tire list on General's website has not been updated in years. I would think any General tire will qualify you for contingency.

You can run ANY type of General Tire to be eligible as long as you meet the other requirements listed by Lucas Oil.

Am I the only one that thinks $250 is not "Huge"? It is something, but not huge. Nice of General though!

Re: Huge General Tire Contingency Program for Lucas Oil Regional

I am looking at the rules for the other series', including the big LOORRS series and I am wondering, does:

Driver must pre-register with company on GeneralTire.com website to purchase tires.
mean that tires have to be purchased directly from GT, as in we cannot price shop?

Re: Huge General Tire Contingency Program for Lucas Oil Regional

My understanding is that you can buy General tires anywhere and still be eligible for their contingency money. If you want to buy tires at a discount, buy them through the Team GT program... Either way, you have to sign up with Team GT BEFORE THE EVENT to recieve any $$$.
