JeepSpeed 1719 SNOW RACING Official Statement
It seems there's some major confusion about the incident that occured at Parker. People need to stop taking statements from Facebook. I am their official media person for the race and this is an offiical Snow racing statement approved by the team:
To all those who helped 1719 Jeepspeed on Saturday from Pit 2 ~ to include, the emt's, rn's, pit people and all who ran with oxygen; the red 5 car driver, co-driver who gave us their fire extinguishers and got out to assist until others came, the three men from broken down cars who assisted us during the turmoil and went with us from the car to 81 and in the bitd truck to pit 2, the volunteer and his wife who came and put out the brush fire and moved our car from the track while still engulfed in flames, and the guys from b.i.t.d. who drove us from 81 to pit 2 - all of you are real racers and real people who blessed our lives.
Christy and Dakota did not realize the extent of their injuries or the immediate dangers we girls were in until it hit hard at Pit 2. We want to thank Jeepspeed and B.I.T.D. and all the racers and family that came to our aide while we weren't even there to clean up our pit and get it ready for Dan and Eric to pick up the trailers and drive them home, and to Keith from Pit Works and his help to get our Jeep from the desert and trailered up. Everyone was amazing....and a blessing from God. THANK YOU ALL!!!!!
If you have placed any pictures up of our Jeep after the fire please take them down, we are trying to contain the issues being caused from miss-communication and wrong information being spread throughout the social networking sights and racing community. We will be placing a formal announcement of the incident and who and what medical issues we went through and are still going through when we have healed enough to be released from the hospital and sent home to CA.
Until then. Christy Snow - driver and Dakota Snow - Co-driver are in PHX at Children's hospital recovering. We just wanted all to know that we are fine and will be home in a few days.
The Snow Family would like to especially thank Michelle from Jeepspeed, Clyve & Mike from Jeepspeed, and Casey from B.I.T.D. for all of the coordinated efforts it took while none of us were in Parker to handle our camp or recovery of our Jeep.
God Bless you All....1719 Jeepspeed. Snow's Race Team
In addition a class1 did not cause this accident what was posted on Dana facebook was a miscommunication while loading Dakota onto life flight
