If someone posts out here starting a discussion about a topic, bagging on people with a differing opinion then that of your own reflects poorly on you and usually doesn't help make your case.

Let's all take a quick look into the history of the "spec" class. Now I'm still kinda young so if I miss a few please fill free to add them to the list.
Pro-2 spec class at CORR: Gone
Super lites: who knows what's going on?
Pro truck: still going I guess?
C-1 lites: I think they run in class 3000?
Trophy lite: still going but always seems to be drama with the company.Great class though.
That's all I can think of and it seems to me there's nothing but drama or uncertainties with most of them. Now take the core group of classes
TT: doing well
Class 1: doing well
7200/6: growing rapidly(and one of the most dominant in the class is an under powered ibeam truck driven mostly by a girl! That's rad!)
1600: doing well
10/12: I don't pay much attention to but from what I know doing pretty well.
Please corrected of I'm wrong but I feel these numbers don't lie. All a spec class does is stick someone with a limited car they have to modify to race in another class when the "spec" class goes under. If you want to race and can't afford a 7200 race something else it's all fun! Look at Ron Mac, the guy was still running a 1600 last year. Or go buy a helmet, go to your bank and pull out a bunch of hundreds, go to home depot and sit on a paint shaker with your helmet on and rip up the money. Cheaper an cleaner.

Adding my request to the stupid class request of the week as some of you may think that way of it..
Make the 1400's a Pro Class and pay up on the entry fees to help these promotors keep racing.. wtf..theres 15-20 guys in my lowly little VW motor budget class doing it each race and we get the watch the almost free entry super truck wiz by or worse yet hold us up as it sometmes happens..

3000 is not a spec class. Just a short class 10 ever since eco's were allowed, but trucks are legal in 3000.

C1 lites are just my brand car in an open builder sealed motor class. We never wanted a builder only class. It is a class that gives you a motor and a wheel base. From there have at it. It is still growing and all racing in it love it. See class3000.org . Nice class twirling the weekend warrior racer.

I beg to differ, RG would need to practice if he wants to beat me on one!
