Re: When is "NERFING" EXCESSIVE OR DANGEROUS?????
Head lights a good idea. Time infrctions, disqualifications and or suspensions for offenders should be manditory. This should go for those Frucks that jackrabbit too. I like D Mac's idea of sentinal but probably too expensive. Belks idea of reverse mounted camera has merit. Accidents happen, often in the heat of a battle and mostly to those least experianced. In the major series, I believe a licensing program should be manditory; especially when a 800hp/ 6000lb Desert Dart shares the course with vehicles1/3 their weight and 10th their power.

Oh no Dan, it might cost money!
It might save a moto-rider's life!
We've never done it before!
The Sentinel system could be one of the best things that happens to off-road RACERS if people would get behind it.
Ask Johnny Campbell or Robby, it WORKS!!

Re: When is "NERFING" EXCESSIVE OR DANGEROUS?????
We all know what nerfing is. We all know when it is uncalled for. But sometimes in the heat of a race when your trying to stay as close to someone as possible, in some dust, waiting for the next opportunity to pass to come along, which can be fleeting and they have to check up because of a slower vehicle in front of them, things are going to happen. This is racing. If your not balls out someone is catching you. It sounds like they came to some resolution and that's good but I've seen nerfing in races that was simply uncalled for and dangerous and this doesn't sound like one of those cases.

Re: When is "NERFING" EXCESSIVE OR DANGEROUS?????
Off road racing involves dust. Sometimes blinding dust, sometimes blinding dust into the sun. The time between catching a cars dust trail to being consumed by dust can take minutes or seconds depending on the car you catch. When the dust you are in is so bad you can only see minimal things, the danger level is very high. All you want to do is clear this traffic and get some clear air. Once you can see the car in front of you its game on. If you let up you are back in the dust and the danger zone. If you get aggressive and run up on the car in front, you are still in danger until you clear that car. You never know what the driver of the car in front is going to do. You might want to try and bump them and all of a sudden they brake hard and you hit them harder than you would want. Or you can bump them and then they wake up and run. Nerfing is part of this sport. The person in front has as much responsibility as the person catching them. Watch your mirrors and if you get caught, get out of the way of the car that caught you. If you don't you are endangering both cars, your car and the car that already caught you in all that dust.

Fresh Blood
I have raced class1, TT, and of course Motorcycles so I have been on both ends of the race vehicles, I was in my first 1450 class @ a local MOORE race so I knew that the Fast trucks/cars were going to catch me in the 2 or 3 lap so I made sure my Co-Dog was on the look out and we for sure got passed ( by every truck /car that had more then 200 HP ) and they never had to wait to get around us because I made a point to not get in the leaders WAY. Because I was only racing the trucks in
My class not the top of the field if they broke then I got them, But I would never be able to pass them with the HP in that class so there Is no reason to race them.

Dude. Milk'n it was a lap down and refused to get over. Anyone who knows Garrick and his co - dawg Steve personally, know they would NEVER behave maliciously on the course. They are class acts. What is it that Casey always says?....once you have been caught you are behind on corrected time anyways! SO MOVE OVER!

"Lucky sperm club guys"?....I see you have a maturity issue. These guys are class acts. I have known them personally for years. It is unfortunate that this happened. Maybe Garrick was following Tuls too closely. He definetly did not intend to cause that much damage, or endanger anyone's safety. THE END

Now your just adding another cost to the racers that are not the problem. Learn to go around the slower car, we have been doing it this way for years, and you get huge respect from your fellow racers.
