When is "NERFING" EXCESSIVE OR DANGEROUS?????
So I make it to the parker 425 and see some great racing as always.Something I found a little disturbing was a "NERFING" that as a racer was uncalled for and just unsportsman like...The jeep trail is full of nasty rocks and is unpassable.Jeep speed in front of the 1500 MILKING IT car...Giving him time to get over and understanding that to pull over there will cause damage.DURING this time another class 1500 car driven and owned by FREITAS...."NERFING" THE milking it car very hard causing them for slam into a jeep speed..Hard enough to bend the front push bummper of the MILKING IT CAR...Then a second time while going over a rise causing major damage to the rear of the MILKING IT 1500 rear cage area...Not just a bent tube, but exhaust caved in and oil pan crushed showing the rods ect...MAJOR DAMAGE..ENGINE cage dry sump damage and engine also failed...Not to mention the jeep speed damage. When is to much????
ALSO I AM NOT A PART OF ANY OF THE TEAMS INVOLVED

We ( Milk-n-it motorsports) would like to say that the matter between us and Freitas has been resolved. However, this is a serious issue! a fight broke out between two 7200 teams next to us due to nerfing, the issue mentioned above took us out of the race, and 2 people ended up in the hospital from being nerfed. this is a serious issue that B.I.T.D. needs to address instead of ignore

We were nerfed by a red 7200 truck just before pit 2 and it took us out of the race as well. I hope this can be brought under control before something really bad happens. I like the post regarding driving with lights on to help slower traffic see you and get out of the way.

I think more old school attitude adjustment in the pits is in order. If I knew who the D bag in a blue class one that took me for a ride in a T/L was I wouldn't mind a few swings in his direction. It is taking the fun out of the sport for meto have no talent hacks with too much horsepower, wheel travel, and too tight of a helmet on the course while I am out doing my thing.

the light idea is a good idea...but whats up with B.I.T.D acting like none of this happens. it has even been brought to their attention a number of times and a by a number of different teams with the same problems.
this is straight from the rule book
SGE5
eliberate abusive nerfing or bumping shall be reason for penalty, disqualification and/or suspension at the discretion of the director.
i guess at the discretion of the director means nothing will be done about it

Good news on the handshake...But Casey needs to take the "Nerfing" issuse head on before someone gets hurt...
this is a serious issue that B.I.T.D. needs to address instead of ignore...Besides it just slows you down and costs everone way to much coin..

Re: When is "NERFING" EXCESSIVE OR DANGEROUS?????
Every race there has been excessive damage that should not have happened. We nerf all the time, always run the horn for awhile, then a nice little love tap. Now, I do not think it is that hard to wait a few seconds to tap in a good spot, be on the brakes at the tap...I am sure if the car in front checked up hard some damage could happened, but holy crap, how hard to you have to hit a car to do damage like this. If I hit someone that hard it should be a stiff penalty for sure. That is not how I would want to win a race by ending someone’s day. We got nerfed by Herbst at Parker last year at 115 mph and barely felt it, that’s the way it should be done. It would make me nervous racing in a small car nowadays.

Re: When is "NERFING" EXCESSIVE OR DANGEROUS?????
You know ... I race with a lot of people/teams. When I'm Co-Dawg or driving, we always avoid touching someone else. Only if it's absolutely necessary to get their attention. We all know when someone is back there or if they have no where to go.
If you think about it ... hitting someone slows you more than anything. Better to downshift and wait for your opening. Just sayin.
Some guys are on the pipe and don't think twice about it. I was hit hard @ the HDRA race for no reason. No horn, using me as brakes into a turn. Not cool in my opinion ... but will I hold a grudge, no. Just remember who's behind me and dodge them in the future.
