grab the input shaft and check for in/out play. if there is more than about .010" (thickness of a hair) of movement mainshaft bearing is going bad on you. now remember you are checking for in/out play not up /down play, that it will have. if your bearing is going bad replace with the upgraded "0" tolerance bearing, they are a great upgrade for a small price.

Thanks for the info. Just dropped the trans off to have it checked out and they said most likely the mainshaft bearing.

t/o bearing either bad or the setup is not providing clearance the the pressure plate when clutch pedal is dis-engaged
