No, I have 2 Hypertherm manual plasmas (a 380 and a 1000) but I had Cody at So Cal Plasma Craft do the cutting for me on his CNC table. Great guy to deal with all around.

OK.... as always, excellent work, looks even better as a "real-world" part! Now he'll probably want you to keep working forward.
No blindfold but I must have got something in my eye while griding.
Thanks Steve.

No, I "free-air" welded it and staggered the welding to avoid warpage. The bracing kept the ends from wanting to pull in with the weld shrinkage.

Wow man. That looks awesome. Its funny how much cooler a part can look when plate is used in place of tube.

So is the car square? The last DD car I worked on was 1-3/4" out measuring diagonally from the floor bars to the roof bars at the C pillar.

It's not quite as bad as the one you worked on but it is definitely not square.
I set a reference plane on the lower frame rails just ahead of the torsion tube and I had to spend a good amount of time taking and verifying measurements for layout.
The front of this car looks like it was assembled by a kindergartner.

LOL, Ricky-Ticky-Tacky behind the gun is a problem with the whole car.
...the front end of this one must have been layed out by the same guy that did the one you worked on. Mid-rails are off-level by .500" at the front, the dash cross bar is higher on the driver side by .750", the rack mount is crooked, etc...
And he runs the "mohawk" arms.
