Off-Roadin' in DUbai & Abu Dhabi! Check it..

It's a dream land. Although I am realistic in a sense that the trip would not be this way if we were not guests of such important people everywhere we go. The hosts are making this experience for me one that will ever be impossible to forget. But what's most intriguing and for me really inspiring is the generous and humble attitudes these guys all have. If you ever get this opportunity do not pass it up.

I spent a brief day and some change in Abu Dhabi about this time last year and even without your escorts it was still pretty amazing. I've been around the Middle East a fair amount but Dubai and Abu Dhabi are something else. They are definitely not the kind of places a person thinks about when they think of overseas vacation destinations but seriously, I'd go back for sure. And I didn't even get all that fun dune time, VIP status, etc!

So funny. This is a Jeep SRT-8 with fully built turbo Hemi. It was number 15 off the line and they built it to jut drag race. Now it just sits behind their shop collecting dust. lol. It runs a 10 second 1/4 mile. The guy calls it a relic. He is bored with it.

Any idea what kinda cost it is to just stay in these places on your own?

The hotel room I have been in this week in Abu dhabi is over a G a night. The Address in Dubai was probably around $600 a night.

We did over 100 miles in the dunes of Liwa today. Rode all the way to the Saudi Arabian border. Biggest dunes in the world. One do we hit was over 1200 feet tall.

looks like a blast while your their how much is a gallon of gas? I mean converted from litre to gallon and their dollar to ours I read somewhere it works out to .30 cents a gallon and that really don't suprise me.

I was lucky enough to stay in Dubaii and Abu Dhabi while I was in the Navy, by far the best ports ive ever been to. I loved snow boarding in Dubaii, that was unreal, and yes the coffee is truly amazing there.
