Or just continue to be a RG fan and not be afraid to comment when something is a poor choice, decision, or outcome. It seems that independent thought is frowned upon with many in the RG fan base, ironic considering how independent Robby is.
I still think the 7 will have a Penske engine for the 500 when its all said and done. Team Penske is simply waiting until final practice is over just in case the 2 or 22 new new engines.

I hope your right.
I just don't understand why he would roll into Daytona without a 500 motor knowing that EVERY competitive team is going to switch out to one post 125?
You commented that they were putting the 125 motor back in the car, that leads me to believe that they rocked into town with one bullet.

Perhaps the Penske engine won't fit? I seem to recall last year that Brian Keselowski got a Penske engine after brother Brad pushed him into the field, but it didn't fit so they had to go back to the 125 engine.

From a Sports Illustrated article (http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/rac...xzz1nOvno7S6):
"Robby Gordon was hoping to strike a deal with fellow Dodge team Penske Racing for an engine after suffering overheating issues in Thursday's Duel. Team Penske president Tim Cindric told SI.com that isn't going to happen.
"Robby came to us and he needed some help and we were willing to do it but with EFI [Electronic Fuel Injection] it's a bit more complicated than dropping a motor in," Cindric said. "We figured out a way to make it happen but it turns out he felt like the problem he was having they found the answer to it so he is going to run what he has at this time.""

Another source saying they are going to run that same warmed over GEM/Evernham lump that is down on hp and overheated during the 150. I honestly hope I am wrong, but I keep getting the feeling Robby went down to Daytona not expecting to make the race. Bringing one engine to Daytona in the year of a huge rules change (EFI, cooling, etc) with zero on track time is absolute insanity. His reaction after making the 500 doesn't do anything to negate this theory.
According to a Robby site, a Penske engine simply wasn't available. There is a reason I don't bother posting there anymore. I'll assume that's where the bogus "has to sign up for an entire season lease" information also came from. (no offense to you Nikal, you just stated what you heard/read)

That had more to do with the updated Dodge engine, and Brian's car being built around the old style block. There must have been some issues with the EFI setup, but as Cindric said from Penske they had a solution.
Still holding out hope that a Penske engine is under the hood come Sunday, but the chances seem to be dwindling.

Rg picked up 2mph in final practise this morning running 191.79 decent #s for running in the draft but you need to be in the 193. range to lead a pack. Good luck Rg.

wondering if I should take him off my roster for daytona and save him for a road course!
My quote from the baja1000 thread.....
Robby never rolls.......the earth just rotated due to how much horsepower he has.

On the list of pro's and con's for potentially getting a P on-demand water heater, that would be last on the things to worry about list.

Lot of wrecks in Nationwide today. Thought Logano had it at the end, no surprise what Kurt Busch did to him and the rest of the front runners. Good run for Buescher tho.
