Depending on what the Ecotec came out of depends on the amount of hp. Are we talking an LE5? LE9? LEA? or the new direct injected LAF? FYI, the direct injected LAF engine that is protested by some for having a horsepower advantage, really doesn't have one if you just did some simple research. Of the 5 different variations of the Ecotec, you range from a compression ratio of 10.4:1 or 11.4:1, and a variation of 164hp to 182hp in their stock forms.

And let's not get into computer tunes, ha ha!

what do i got to do to post down there?

What about this for tech. This is what there going to make us do in
LORORS mini stock. You are responsible to tare down your own motor to for tech. No body knows when or at what race this will happen. There for it doesn’t have to be done at every race. You do the labor your self, pull intake, header, valve cover, and plugs. Then it would be easy for some one to check the ports a simple template could be used to quickly tell if there has been any porting even if it was acid ported and didn’t appear to be ported. Use one of them cameras to look down the plug hole and inspect the top of the pistons. And a easily made stand to hold a dial indicator to check lift. At this point you could do a way with sealers all together. The point of a sealed motor program is so you don’t have to tech the motors. You look for the tag if it has it your good. Sounds like that’s not working out as planed so eliminate it. The guys building there own motors can save a buck not having to pay someone to put a tag on too. It won’t stop ppl from cheating but at least you know everyone has the same lift cam, nonported head and intake, and stock pistons. If your found cheating a life time ban seems a little harsh. Maybe your just banned for x amount of races and pay a fine.

He is suggesting that you post there because this is about cheater ecotech motors and hes trying to keep the thread on that topic.

Hes also saying your topic has merit but it distracts from the topic at hand and that a class 10 specific thread is worth starting on your subject.

    Thats all.

Is the class 10 forum private? Im not sure but if it is, contact fishd00d or pdailey, explain to them your association to the class and they will likely approve you to post there...
