I have a fuel cell, with a gauge and sending unit to match. i have the oil gauge, the fuel gauge, battery gauge, water temp gauge, and tranny gauge. and I am going to try and wire it all up on my own keep being told its easy to do myself. if anyone wants to give me pointers of how to get this all done. I am in san diego and if anyone is down this way and wants to look or help I can pay or trade something. thanks for all the help. anybody can email me at [email protected]

Keep in mind you will have to keep your stock gauge cluster in order for your truck to run. If you try to remove it all together, your truck won't run. Most people just hide it underneath the new dash.

Re: 2002 f150
I have been told that I don't need to keep it that the wires can be bypassed and wired into the auto meter gauges.

Re: 2002 f150
Your truck won't start that way. These trucks have the PATS system and there is no known way to bypass it. Your stock cluster is tied into the PATS system. You have to run separate sending units for your AutoMeter gauges and separate wiring. You will essentially have two separate monitoring systems when all is said and done. The easiest thing to do is simply mount your stock cluster in your new dash and just add whatever additional gauges you want (trans temp, water temp, etc....)

Re: 2002 f150
well I have the gauges that will work with the 4.6 liter ford F150 engine. autometer told me how to hook them up and that it should be possible. anyone know how to actually trace the wires and wire the items I need with circuit breakers and fuse boxes. and all the accessories I need to install. anyone can send me a email and send me a qoute to assist me.
