Lol, it's been rough being a Niners fan the last ten years or so, but I think this might be the year. I still have my doubts about Smith though. He has flashes of brilliance, but he's no field general.

alex smith has never been in a position to be able to operate in a system like this with harbaugh who is a quarterback guru. he's had to change coaches too many times to establish himself in my opinion..harbaugh and his system will bring out the best in smith and i think he'll be fine if not a pro bowler. his work at Utah was great when he was able to play in an established offense ..he's had a chance to mature as well.......tell you what..smith's high school team, helix high school in la mesa ca. was really somethin' with reggie bush in the backfield..

Vincent Brown who was having a strong preseason for the chargers at wr is out for the season now with a broken ankle. Chargers have no luck ever staying healthy!
