    Fuel tank and storage

Looking to get a 60 gal or so fuel tank and stand for the Mint. Need two set-ups. Does anyone sell one ready to go? Or is it up to the team to build there own? Is there rules to them?

Yes, there are rules, among them is a requirement for a fuel containment "system" in case of any leaks or spillage. Please don't try and skirt any of the fueling rules, you are liable to get DQ'ed at best, and can jeopardize racing permits for all desert racing, not just the 2012 MINT.

Think about fire safety, suppression and extinguishing, too: 60 gallons of gas = 6.84 MILLION BTU's.

The BITD rule book is online at bitd.com.

Jerry is in CA, but he can steer you straignt on this issue, IMHO.

    Re: Fuel tank and storage

We can build you a pole mounted, truck mounted, or trailer mounted system. The attached link shows one of our 115 gallon systems that helps maintain head pressure on filling with significant backup volume. We have over 60 of these systems throughout and have the ability to make your fueling stops safer and faster. In addition, we also sell all of the parts and accessories for those DIY tank builders out there. Please feel free to call us at 619-258-7223.
