Mercedes taking the front row. Good to see Schumi starting there once again (Even if it was gifted to him).
Don't bother me. I'm wasting potential.

Can't remember a race when there were so many 'marbles' on the track.

Re: F1 2012
Congratulations to Mercedes for their first win as a constructor in over 50 years. They have shown the speed in qualifying and the cooler weather seemed to help them with their tire management. I was impressed with the race pace of Sauber and Lotus, Kobayashi actually got fastest lap during the race. I was hoping for a better finish for Raikkonen, he fell from 2nd to 12th in two laps, finally finishing 14th when his tires went away.
The media is already talking about Mercedes solving their tire issues but the warmer weather in Bahrain will be the real test.

I watched part of the Long Beach GP this afternoon, The sound from the new turbo engines is pathetic, a pack of Vespa scooters passing by my house have a more aggressive sound. I hope F1 takes note when they change engines in 2014.

Great race yesterday, F1 2012 rocks so far!
I think Keke was really proud for Nico this weekend, that qualifying lap on saturday was really something special also.
We'll see about Bahrain...

Racecar Engineering has these really cool articles about the 2012 F1 cars, well worth a read.
Here's the link for Lotus, the rest can be found under F1 2012.

Hard to believe, McLaren finds another way to screw themselves by short fueling Hamilton in qualifying, kicking him to the back of the grid. Good, I hope Lotus can capitalize on this, get a good start stay out of trouble and get a win tomorrow.

Williams gets their first win since 2004, I really didn't think Maldonado would have the race pace to hold off Ferrari and Lotus. Looks like team was so happy they had a celebratory bon fire in their garage. (J/K) Luckily no one was seriously hurt.

And, on the same weekend that they celebrated Franks 70th birthday. Couldn't have made it better in Hollywood, with Pastor saving his cousin from the flames and all. This season is shaping up to be something very spectacular, Lotus for the win in Monaco to make it 6 different winners in 6 races.

Re: F1 2012
Wow! F1 this year is really something special. 7 winners for the first 7 races and it could very well be 8 in Valencia in two weeks, Lotus and Sauber comes to mind.
Great race by Hamilton today, and of course also Grosjean and Perez. Alonso and Ferrari took a chance that didn't pay off (.4s ahead of Rosberg) and Vettel took the correct decision but to late in the end.
Schumacher's bad luck continues this year, what is it now, 5 dnf of 7? Massa seems to have made something of a comeback, even though his spin in the early laps cost him a lot. This race Button looked almost like Massa did in the early part of the season.
