Yeah, I gotta say, that video doesn't exactly depict what I call a very masculine nerf. I wasn't in the truck for the first lap - that was Alan Roach driving, so I can't say for sure, but I doubt he even felt that. I do like all the co-driver drama, however. BTW, how did all that flogging work out for that truck?
I've got awesome rear-facing video of Szlaoko fighting with Alan and Mike for about 20 minutes. I'll post it when I have more time. It's pretty awesome. He did all the right stuff too. He couldn't keep up with them where the terrain was open, but then it tightened up and he caught right up. He gave a little gentleman nudge at first, but that was probably hard to feel, since our truck weighs like 13,800 lbs. So he stood off a bit and then destroyed his bumper. The footage I have is rad.
Mike Kerr (Alan's co-driver) said they drove right by Sleucco a few minutes later because he had four flats, a rock through the radiator and a broken drive shaft.
Mike also mentioned that Macrae short-coursed so bad at the start that he clogged our air filter with roost consisting of desert tortoise, snub-nosed lizard, brown frogs and a big-horn sheep.
I don't can't verify any of this, since I wasn't in the truck but I have great video I'll post tonight if able.
