Re: Dakar 2013
Yeah, I think we're getting closer to the part when they tell Robby to put on 33s

Re: Dakar 2013
It is quite clear that mark Miller will do 2013 Dakar (at least from his tweeter and facebook) the questions is quite obvious:
- What will he ride?
- Which team will he be in?

Hopefully in a Hummer....
Anyone know if the amputee team that was featured on Top Gear will be racing like they planned?

... rumor has it that RG will not be aloud to to run 2013 Dakar per the FIM..
I was told he wanted to the FIM to send him a written apology after the fines were paid, but the FIM told him to pound sand and send a check.

You mean the ASO (Dakar organizers)? or the FFSA (French Automovile Sport Association) who found the Hummer violating the rules?
The FIM is the FIA equivalent but to motorbikes, has nothing to do wih RG.
Would RG threw all out? I doubt. I gess he will fight back.
2013 Dakar looks to be more sand (even from he start) and dessert, gettingrid of part of the rally-like stages.
I do not know how is RG coping with many interests, Nascar, dessert and mostly his new stadium truck series to be able to plan and implement a 2013 Dakar assault once again.

I don't think that RG will be an apology from anyone, but I would be willing to bet money that Robby will be back.
If the 2012 rally taught us anything it is that the ASO is producing a soap opera for the world. Why would they want to get rid of their star?

The way I read it was he was disqualified... retroactively for 2012. On either planet-robby, or speedenergy.com just showed some dakar practice runs last week. Anyway, what I later read was that he was not disqualified for the tire-inflation system. It was technically approved after all, but for the 2012 race, he added new ducting for the engine to help cool off the alternator, and other electronics, and its design was specifically prohibited?
