The general consensus on earth is:
In dry air at 20 °C (68 °F), the speed of sound is 340.00 metres per second (1,115 ft/s). This is 1,236 kilometres per hour (768 mph), or about one kilometer in three seconds or approximately one mile in five seconds.
Just an FYI, Thanks
Perhaps you should go and read about the "doppler effect" (or Doppler shift), named after Austrian physicist Christian Doppler. It goes way back to 1842...
Basically it explains the change in frequency of a wave for an observer moving relative to the source of the wave. It is commonly heard when a vehicle sounding a siren or horn approaches, passes, and recedes from an observer. The received frequency is higher (compared to the emitted frequency) during the approach, it is identical at the instant of passing by, and it is lower during the recession.
when the observer is also moving in the same direction as the source of the sound wave the effect would be magnified...
Physics are annoying huh?

Luckily he was so far out in the bushes that he was further away than the cars in the track. Looks like a clean pass to get out if the dust to me.

Thanks to the DGAF"s , way to posibly keep my kids from being able to race there in the future. I hope BLM or Casey just takes action like Arizona did on the two campers that broke the rules and left a campfire and it started our biggest wildfire ever ,instead of closing the forrest down to all campers. Guess being to wide and stabbin a tire at post tech is minimal now.

The BLM doesnt just show up the day of the event, frusterate people and disappear until the next race. They are in the desert for weeks prior to an event. they are there weeks after an event. Knowing the team assigned to Southern Nevada, most could probably tell what class racer and what tire they were running when they did it.
The pictures will not affect the outcome of racing - The behavior will.
