    HID vs. LED

After spectating this weekend which I have not done in a while and in the process of getting a new light set up it brought me to this question. Keep in mind these lights would be for a 1600. That being said which of the two gives off more light for having less of them on the car. And which pulls less off the altornator? If you have in car video that gives a view of either that would be great. So whats your call, HID or LED?

    LED. Rigid nation!!!

You can beat the death out of them and they wont break. and if they do break only the cell that is affected goes out. Not the entire light.

Seems like less wind resistance up top with a small bar vs 3 or 4 HIDs.

    Re: HID vs. LED

go with Baja Designs you cant go wrong with either the their HID's or LED lights. The Stealth LED bar is only 1.5" thick and puts out almost the same light as a dual layer LED bar.

Get some Rigid LED's. The bumper on Householders truck was mangled but the LED lights still worked fine.

    Re: HID vs. LED

I think it depends on what you want.. Led's are brighter up close but the hids have a longer reach I'd say if you can run an LED bar on the front bumper and hids up top! I have friend running this setup and it's like daylight

    Re: HID vs. LED

I was thinking the same thing maybe a bar in between two hid's. Does mixing hid with led create shadows like mixing hid with halogens?
