Misc pics and a few details

Mods are welcome to move this into another thread, but I didn't see one overall MINT thread so I guess I'll start another.

Ran with 3030 team as pit crew this weekend. The race itself and tech was a lot of fun. There were some aspects that were a real clusterf$%k though. Waiting an hour to get to main, or out of main was a real PITA. We only had one chase truck that was hitting everything, and didn't make it a couple times and barely made it when we did. So traffic and idiots were a real issue.

After we broke on the last lap, getting any info was also a nightmare. The tracking trailer gave us a location and that fact that radios were down, but the BITD folks couldn't tell us anything, including where our team was being towed to. In the end it worked out, because they drove themselves out on three wheels and were able to get a message to us to come get them.

So the complaints are out of the way. Tech and contingency were a blast and the parties on Thursday night were great. For the number of cars present, tech went fairly well. With it running down Fremont St, that made the wait more interesting. Camping at Pit 2 was fine, and while there was a shortage of space for pits, I think it all worked out in the end. Main was set up very well and layed out in a organized fashion. No issues pitting there, once you were able to get there...Pit 1 was no issue at all. Plenty of room and everyone willing to jump in and lend a hand. My thanks to the guys helping us out.

Actually, my thanks to Dohrman Racing and Livewire Racing for the help pitting at 2. We would have had a difficult time without the assist. Also thanks to No Shift Racing for feeding our guys while they were waiting for us to find them.

Thanks for all your help Eric. I know it was frustrating for both you and Terry. You guys rocked it. I have no comments on the officials, as I didnt have any contact with them, but the course worker and support truck at RM50 where top notch. To the course worker, I completely forgot your name... twice. I apologize. It was great talking to you after tech, and thanks for all the help/tools out the middle of nowhere. Glad our wheel decided to go MIA right at your crossing. IRC crew checking up on us was awesome as well. Our first time with IRC, and I'm glad we had it... it was about the only thing electrical in the car working at the time... no horn, no radio... couldn't find the cell phone, not that we would have had cell out there anyway.
