Feel the thickness. Most aluminum is .090 (bodys) or less. Glass doesnt stay bent, it has a memory. Glass usually has a more gentle curve to the surface. aluminum has more single surface curves, welded corners. Glass has more compound surfaces. English wheel is required for compound curves in aluminum. If the back side is smooth its aluminum.

Get an Aluminum Magnet from Harbor Freight, the rectangular one is best.

Thump it, if it sounds like metal, it's aluminum. If it sounds kind of like wood then it's fiberglass.

Its a little more difficult. Car is suppose to be all aluminum but once it showed up it was aluminum with fiberglass backing. Now looking more at the car wondering if its not just fiberglass with alum inlays. This is on a street/show car.

Ok, maybe you need a serious answer then. Get a multi-meter with very sharp leads and check for continuity where a very small prick won't show - or get an aluminum magnet.

Is that aluminum magnet 110volt or battery operated?
