PRT wheels?
Any one know anything about em? I know they are new but haven't seen em under anything yet. I saw them at contingency at the mint and liked their multi piece lock ring design, but didn't get any info on them. Checked out the website and didn't see all the stuff that was in the booth. The guy at 4wheel parts I talked to had no idea either.

Re: PRT wheels?
PRT's website says there wheels are exclusively made by Ultra Wheels for PRT. Both the buggy and truck wheels look just like the old Ultra wheel. My guess is PRT bought the casting molds from Ultra wheel, and maybe part of the deal is Ultra makes the wheels?

Re: PRT wheels?
Love the old school look now hope they took advantage of modern technology when updating these wheels.

Re: PRT wheels?
First off thanks for your words Racer 56, Love to hear negative feed back!! Im sure the reason you have not seen very many is the fact that they just released in feb and just became fully in stock the first of march. for those of you who said you like them, Thank you! Our goal in building this wheel was to bring back the "Old Ultra". Our thought behind it was lets put a new name to an older trusted look. Instead of a new name, and a new product. This wheel is a redesign of the "Old Ultra" that has been updated to be stronger (30%) then the original. PRT stands for Price Racing Technology, Jim price the main Invested owner wanted to form a business that would help fund his personal racing efforts. At this point we have the 2 models (The buggy, and the Truck) and for future plans we hope to bring out many new designs in the future. But as for now these wheels are designed (to our specs) and built by Ultra wheel, they are warehoused at Ultras facility and when ordered on line they are shipped from there facility in Fullerton. We also came out with our new segmented bead lock ring (6 pieces) and the idea is you can mix and match colors, and replace one damaged piece at a time. They still use the "standared" 24 bolt pattern so a Champion, OMF, BTR, Etc rings will also work. Please feel free to e-mail me at [email protected] or call 949-441-9708 to answer any questions. Thanks Jeff Lothringer

Re: PRT wheels?
I always love the the old Ultra Wheel, rand them on the front of the 1600 back in the day but they had the wrong offset for the rear of a 1600. Has this been fixed?

Re: PRT wheels?
Hey Ramsey, On my personal 1600 car i am running the 15"x4" wheel on all four corners (2.0" offset or center) but we do make a 15"x6.5" wheel also with a 2.75" offset. Let me know if you have any other questions.......

Re: PRT wheels?
I LOVE the old Ultra wheels almost as much as the APPs. I saw the new version a while back and got really exited. If I had the need and the $$ for some new wheels, these would be my first choice. I'm really glad to see these offered again and in a more modern version.
